PuTNaM WiNe opened on a warm Spring day in 1998. May 20, actually, if you'd like to send a card or stop in and congratulate us on eking out another year in the wine business. Since then we've added extensive inventory, more than doubled the number of wines we offer, and done our best to serve a growing group of customers and friends. In the process we've moved to a bigger store in a lovely new building on Broadway, and added interesting wine from around the world.

William Roach
William is English
and came to the USA five years ago. In England he made television programs for
the Channel 4 network, including the long-running food and wine series “FOOD
FILE”. William’s vision to bring the glory of the world of wine to residents
and visitors of Saratoga Springs came one day when he was thirsty. William is
married to Catharine, co-proprietor of PuTNaM MaRKeT, and they have two children,
Maggie and Jim. William is tall
